Business mileage rates are 55.5¢, Medical mileage rate is 23¢, and charitable mileage rate is 14¢ for the tax year 2012.

Estimated tax payments

If you make your State estimated tax payment on or before 12-31-2011, even though it is not due until 1-15-2012, you will be able to deduct that payment on your 2011Federal income tax return.
